Step 1: How it Works
The Management Plan is designed to help you measure your environmental performance against Primark's sustainability requirements. Using the Management Plan, a custom sustainability scorecard is created for your business. This will help you identify which areas of Primark's sustainability requirements are met, areas that need improvement, and track your progress over time.
You also have the support of Primark's in-country managers with recommendations for best practices, and corrective action plans to improve your Management Plan.
Step 2: Accessing your Management Plan
In order to access your Management Plan, you must be registered in CleanChain. Read How to Register in CleanChain for information on getting an account.
Follow the steps below to open your management plan.
- Login to CleanChain.
If you are having trouble with login, please click Forgot password or Forgot user name. - Select the site you would like to access, on the home screen, using the organization drop down menu at the top of your screen.
- Click the Actions tab on the left-hand navigation menu.
- Click Management Plan.
For Sites
Open your Site Management Plan by clicking your site's name in the "Name" column.
For Suppliers
To open your Supplier Management Plan, follow the steps below.
- Click your company name in the Name column.
- Click the
to view your sites and their management plans.
Step 3: Complete your Management Plan
The Management Plan contains a series of questions in various sections for you to complete.
These are in the form of tabs.
Progress
Your completion progress can be seen at any time at the top of your management plan.
Do not forget to save your hard work!
Site Overview
The Site Overview tab contains basic questions about your business and its operations.
This should be completed by the person responsible for ensuring environmental management and compliance.
- Complete each question, and optionally upload any supporting documents.
- Download, sign, and upload the attached guidance document before continuing on the Guidance Document question.
- Click Save and Next when completed.
IPE: IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ
For Suppliers and sites located in China, and Vietnam
The IPE, Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs, section consists of 7 questions and only sites and suppliers located in China and Vietnam need to complete.
- The person or persons completing IPE should have knowledge and expertise around the IPE.
- Complete all 32 questions and optionally upload any supporting documents.
- Click Save and Next.
For Suppliers and sites NOT located in China or Vietnam.
- Open the IPE Tab.
- Click Not Applicable (N/A) next to"China IPE."
- Click Save.
Submitting your Management Plan
Once each question and section is complete you are now ready to submit your Management Plan to Primark for review.
- When each question and section is complete in your management plan, your progress bar will appear green.
- Click the drop-down arrow, then click Transition for Review.
You will be notified automatically by email when your in-country Primark Manager has completed reviewing your Management Plan.
Step 4: View your Performance
Now that you have submitted your Management Plan for review you can view your custom sustainability scorecard.
How to View Site Scorecard
- Open your Site Management Plan by clicking your site's name in the "Name" column.
- Click the drop-down arrow, then click Scorecard.
- You can view your current sustainability score and the previous score to track your progress.
- Review each section or subsection of your scorecard to understand your sustainability score.
- You may also download a copy of your scorecard for your records.
How to View Supplier Scorecard
Now that you have submitted your Management Plan, you can now view your custom supplier sustainability scorecard.
- Open your Supplier Management Plan by clicking your company name in the "Name" column.
- Click the drop-down arrow, then click Supplier Scorecard.
- You can view your current sustainability score and the previous score to track your progress.
- Your supplier scorecard score is the average of your performance and the performance of your sites.
- Click the name of the site to open the individual site scorecard.
- You may also download a copy of your supplier scorecard for your records.
Step 5: View and Complete Corrective Actions
You successfully submitted your Management Plan and viewed your performance. The Primark Management team will review your Management Plan and based on your results, request information or open a corrective action.
Once the review is complete, the contacts listed on your account will receive an email notification if corrective action is required. Read the steps below on how to complete corrective actions.
Receiving a Corrective Action Plan (CAP)
- The contacts in your account will receive an email notification. Click the link to open your CAP.
- To view all open CAPs, open your Management Plan and click the Total CAP Questions button at the top right corner of your screen.
- Click the CAP button underneath the question, and read the CAP Detail for instructions.
- Click Submit for Review after completing the necessary action(s) for your CAP.
- Repeat these steps for all open CAPs.
If additional information is required or new CAPs are created, you will need to repeat the steps above. When all CAPs are closed, contacts listed on your accounts will receive an email notification.
